The first ever Indiana Collaborative Conference on Aging (ICCA) will take place February 5-6, 2008 at the Adam's Mark Indianapolis. Designed for professionals in the aging services network throughout the state of Indiana, this not-to-be-missed 2-day event will offer interdisciplinary opportunities for networking and information sharing.

On Day One, ICCA programming will be offered in three tracks (see below), each reflecting current aging research and trends and focusing on improving the quality of life for adults throughout Indiana. You can choose to attend sessions from just one or all three tracks. You customize your experience!

Day Two will offer breakout sessions related to best practices (see below). Hear from local and national experts on a variety of proven strategies for successful senior programming.

AGENDA

Day One: Tuesday, February 5, 2008


Taylor, Jeff NEW 1-06 (300) We'll kick off the conference with a keynote presentation by Jeff Taylor, founder of Monster.com and Eons.com, who will discuss "Eons: Baby Boomers Taking Control."

 

After Taylor's presentation, breakout sessions will begin. During each session period, one breakout will be presented along each of three tracks: Community Partnership (CP), Health & Wellness (HW), and Senior Living Environments (SLE).

The day will close with a keynote by ICCA Honorary Chair and former First Lady of Indiana, Judy O'Bannon, who will present "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over." All participants are invited to attend a reception with Mrs. O'Bannon after her presentation, from 5:00pm-6:00pm. The reception is sponsored by Active Day and American Senior Communities. JOBannon

Day Two: Wednesday, February 6, 2008


PPeterson small Day Two will bring a blast from the past for many attendees as former child actor, now turned aging advocate, Paul Peterson opens the day with his keynote presentation, "Intergenerational Programs: The Only Answer to Our Seniors' Growing Needs."

Cancellation Policy: Registration canceled at least 7 days prior to ICCA will be refunded, minus a $25 processing fee. Registrations canceled within 7 days of the conference will not be refunded.

The Indiana Health Facility Administrators (HFA) Board has approved 9.5 continuing education credits for HFA attendance at this two-day event.
